01 / The approach
Guna’s musculoskeletal injectable collagen devices are designed to provide mechanical support to connective tissue structures. Following clinical assessment, Chris may combine these products with shockwave therapy as part of a broader rehabilitation plan.
Evidence for the combined approach is still developing. Treatment cannot guarantee tissue regeneration or pain relief; suitability varies between patients.

Four considered stages, with clinical review guiding each decision.
Review symptoms, function, diagnosis and suitability for the proposed approach.
An agreed treatment programme, with response monitored by Chris.
Following reassessment, an ultrasound-guided Guna injection may be offered where appropriate.
Progressive movement and strength work, supported by follow-up assessments.
The number of injections, formulation and timing are determined individually following clinical review. Chris is considering approximately 5–10 injections where appropriate.

04 / Questions patients ask
Understanding the treatment is part of making an informed decision.
Discuss your optionsUltrasound allows the clinician to visualise relevant anatomy during injection placement.
Not necessarily. The decision follows assessment and response to treatment. Benefits, limitations, alternatives and risks are discussed before consent.
No. Outcomes differ, and current evidence does not establish that this combination reliably regenerates damaged tissue.
The treatment course is individual. Chris is considering approximately 5–10 injections when clinically indicated, subject to assessment and review.
